CD25A-UC on the new UC Libraries search platform | now available to the entire community

The Documentation Centre of the 25th of April of the University of Coimbra (CD25A-UC) is pleased to inform its national and international users that the University of Coimbra’s new integrated library management system is now fully operational. This modern and innovative platform significantly enhances access to scientific, academic and documentary information.

The new platform enables users to search, through a single access point, both the physical collections of the University of Coimbra libraries and a wide range of digital resources, including scientific databases, e-books, academic journals and other electronic resources essential for research.

Among its main features are:

  • integrated search supported by Artificial Intelligence, providing more relevant and accurate results;
  • an enhanced Personal Area, allowing users to renew loans, save searches, create alerts and manage requests;
  • simplified and responsive access from computers, tablets and smartphones;
  • an improved user experience for researchers, academics, students and external users, both in Portugal and abroad.
  •

The new platform is available at:

Access is provided through University of Coimbra institutional credentials. External users will continue to benefit from the services provided by the libraries, in accordance with the applicable access conditions.

This development represents an important step forward in supporting research, teaching and the dissemination of knowledge, while also strengthening international access to the documentary and scientific resources of the University of Coimbra and CD25A-UC.

CD25A-UC also wishes to acknowledge the outstanding work carried out by the University of Coimbra Libraries, coordinated by BGUC, whose commitment, professionalism and strong institutional dedication made the implementation of this new infrastructure possible for the benefit of the academic and scientific community.
