In this month of October 2025, considering the current global context surrounding the Palestinian cause (which should transcend all beliefs, religions and ideologies) and on the day that the University of Coimbra inaugurates the country's first Centre for Arab Studies, together with the launch of the Joanina Digital Library platform (with emphasis on the digital collection dedicated to the Middle East), we have selected two documents, a poster and a statement, announcing two international conferences in solidarity with Palestine, held in Lisbon in 1978 and 1979.
