In the year marking the 50th anniversary of the 25 April Revolution, the two volumes of the work “25 April, 50 Years Later: Remembering, Reflecting, Reimagining” were released, offering an in-depth and plural perspective on the Carnation Revolution and its legacy.
Bringing together contributions from researchers, academics, artists and members of society, the publication recalls the historical memory of the revolution and examines the political, social and cultural transformations that have taken place since 1974.
One of the volumes focuses more closely on the historical memory of 25 April, while the other offers a reflection on contemporary issues such as civic participation, rights and freedoms, and the role of young people in society.
The work stands as a significant contribution to the commemorations of the 50th anniversary of the 25 April Revolution, promoting collective memory.
